Colouring in has been proven to help relax and ease the mind.
It is a recognised form of mindfulness that is easy to do and can be enjoyed by people of all abilities
- Use with our Paint by Numbers assorted sets. Easier to manipulate than a paint brush and fine tip will go just where you want it.
- Gather a few together and sellotape or bind together – draw sweeping lines across a plain card or piece of paper for a rainbow effect – easier to grip for anyone with a weak grip too.
- When pens are spent – remove ink stem from inside and caps. Glue together side by side and saw off edges, then sand smooth to make rainbow place mats.
- Fill in colouring books by dotting colour instead of wiping. You can mix other colours in and make unique shaded effects by making dots closer or further apart – in the style of artist Georges Seurat (1859-91.
- Pens can be used to colour sort: pastel/rich blues/greens summer/winter happy/sad colours.
