Small wooden flower press.
Lovely little retro wooden flower press to preserve all your special flowers from walks or gifts or just from the garden. Can be made into unique pictures and cards.
Press has a number of card presses – just sandwich into pieces of blotting paper or absorbent paper and then screw down until tight. Leave for a few days and then hey presto! your flower is preserved and ready for use.
Makes a lovely nostalgic activity for families to do together.
So many ideas spring to mind for this subject, here are a few:
- Make greeting cards with a mix of the pressed flowers, paints and pens
- Make book marks by placing the flowers in a pattern and then either gluing them down or laminating
- Sew on to a piece of fabric adding other items like kitchen foil, bubble wrap, card, buttons to make a tactile picture
- Place in a scrapbook and write where and when was it picked and what type it is
- Make a notice board boarder buy gluing to a strip of card and fixing it to a plain cork board
