Activity Ideas

  • Have a themed wartime day – bake wartime recipes, play Songs that Won the War CD and sing along. Watch an old episode of Dad’s Army (click on the link) https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episodes/b007tlxv/dads-army
  • Using the 1960’s/1970s Childhood packs, lay them out on a table and ask participants to select one or two to talk about. What would be their perfect toy or game at the time.
  • Use the Victorian pack, discuss the items, then make a Victorian Posy. Cut a circle the size of a teaplate from some cotton fabric. Make holes approx 3cm in from the edge at 3 cm intervals. Take a small amount of potpourri or dried lavender and place in the middle. Thread some ribbon through the holes and pull the ends together to trap the potpourri. Hand near a bed or in a wardrobe to scent the air.

With fabricfor every memory, our Memorabilia Pack Collection ranges from the Victorian age right through to The Beatles.

Each pack is full of replica items to  jog memories and invite discussion.
